Congratulations Fawn & Maura!
Although I am not at the locale of the Powerlifting Raw Nationals (yet;) first reports show Fawn placing second! Awesome news! Way to go Fawn!! I wish I could have been there today to see the lifts for the women, as the schedule reflects tomorrow the men's comp finishes up the event. Well, Kentucky just may show up to cheer on the The Press team. Maura did well with a first place. Yahooo!

We had a great time. There was a huge turnout, and it was really inspiring. No drugs, no gear, just sport. There was a man in his 80s who competed. Full-depth power squats at 80 years old ~ blows my mind.
Was that James Weiss? We saw his DL-beautiful, strong and vigorous! Inspiring in his exuberance!!
If he was 80, then that was the guy. Don't remember his name. Inspiring for sure; that's a hard sport for anyone.
