July Re-cap

I believe that one component of growing a successful kettlebell program is educating people about their existence and the benefits of a kettlebell practice. Essential too is the ability to connect with clients, understand them and support their goals. With this in mind, I set aside some time in July to schedule, prepare and do demos at several venues in the area. I choose some familiar places (yoga studios) and to stretch myself; new territory.

People, who had seen kbs lurking in the corner of their gyms and studios were able to see kettlebells in motion, ask questions and learn how a practice could support what they currently do. This was also an opportunity for me to learn. The cross section of people was broad in age, physical activity level and gender and questions reflected this.

Reactions ranged from entertained to inspired. More people know about kbs and that is good!

July Classes Swinging

With the first month of classes officially on the printed schedule, attendance continues to increase. Today there were 10 people. It was a great combination of newbies and established kb'ers. Everyone worked well together on exercises, lifts and drills. No slackers.

RKC Certification Pictures

Getting down to business at the RKC.

Hardest part was getting to the RKC. Weather delay lead to an unexpected night in Chicago. Did snatch test on day two. I was glad to finally be with my group!

Here I am with Pavel.

Snoopy was in the hotel. Fun!

At play. It's all good as long as I've got a kettlebell or two, or more.
